Complex general surgical oncology, University of Chicago
I am a cancer surgeon with board certification in both General Surgery and Complex General Surgical Oncology. I am fully committed to providing cutting-edge, evidence-based and compassionate surgical cancer care to you and your loved ones.
I specialize in the surgical treatment of upper gastrointestinal tract, colorectal, hepatopancreatobiliary (HPB), soft tissue and skin cancers. I completed fellowship training in surgical oncology where I acquired expertise in the treatment of advanced and metastatic cancers. Among other approaches, I often incorporate hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy (HIPEC) to other surgical procedures in the management of malignancies that have spread to the lining of the abdomen. Moreover, I have significant experience in minimally-invasive and robotic-assisted techniques, which allows me to optimize and tailor surgical therapy. I work closely with a comprehensive team of specialists who collectively strive to integrate the latest research to provide optimal care for our cancer patients.
I am a member of the Society of Surgical Oncology, American Society of Clinical Oncology and the American College of Surgeons, and have authored numerous scientific publications in the field of cancer surgery. I also actively conduct clinical research aimed at improving cancer care outcomes in the community and nationally.
