Dr. Jeffrey Sutton is an Assistant Professor of Surgery and board-certified surgical oncologist who specializes in cytoreductive surgery and hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy (CRS-HIPEC) for numerous primary and metastatic peritoneal malignancies. He completed a residency in General Surgery at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center followed by surgical fellowship training in Complex General Surgical Oncology at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center where he obtained extensive experience in HIPEC surgery. He currently serves as an Assistant Professor of Surgery at the Medical University of South Carolina as Director of the Peritoneal Surface Malignancy program where he oversees the management of patients with numerous peritoneal surface malignancies including pseudomyxoma peritonei (PMP), primary peritoneal mesothelioma, and metastatic stage IV cancers of the appendix (LAMN, adenocarcinoma), colon and rectum, and stomach. In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Sutton is actively involved with surgical education of resident trainees and medical students. His research interests include disparities in the delivery and outcomes of cancer care.
