Sharif Sakr, MD, FACOG, is a Gynecologic Oncologist with Ascension Medical Group.
Dr. Sakr is board-certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology through the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ACOG) and he completed his Gynecologic Oncology Fellowship at Karmanos Cancer Institute/Wayne State University. His practice includes surgical management as well as chemotherapy and clinical research for patients with cancers of the female reproductive system. Dr. Sakr has a special interest in minimally invasive gynecologic surgery, intraperitoneal chemotherapy (HIPEC) and clinical trials research. His research has been presented at national meetings and has been published in peer-reviewed journals. He is involved in medical student, resident and Gynecologic Oncology fellow training, teaching and mentorship.
He strives to provide the most up-to-date and evidence-based care to his patients in an individualized and compassionate manner.
Outside of the office, Dr. Sakr enjoys biking, playing soccer and spending time with his family.
